Some scenes from our area

I caught this first picture as we were leaving the Port Durnford chapel. Each sunset seems to be different here where there are very few lights showing from the scattered homesteads. This young lady played peek-a-boo with me as we were coming to visit the Nzamas. Sister Tandi Nzama runs a day care center from her home. Young women being young women at Port Durnford. It is a real joy to get to know and and serve the youth here. The last picture is of a cane field being burned off so the cane can be harvested. I was able to catch the sight and sound of this fire on a brief video but I am not sure if I can load it to the blog.

Boarding Pictures

We are blessed to have a nice 3 bedroom boarding in a safe area for a reasonable price. The three bedrooms allows us to put up couple missionaries who might be visiting Richards Bay for some reason. It also allows us to spread out all the manuals, etc. that we have inherited from the Hafens and those before them and of course what we manage to accumulate ourselves.

We have posted some pictures from our boarding but here are a few more.

Some mornings we have some large neighbors – these were resting in front of a church that is katey-korner to our boarding. We also always have small neighbors. They love to build their homes under the cobblestone driveway. This is picture taken right outside our garage door. One of the beautiful things we see when we drive through our neighborhood are orange covered walls that just finished being in full bloom. The last picture is of a very beautiful curly fern that we bought a couple of months ago. People who know Bill know that he is not comfortable unless there is something growing in the house.
